Promises.


My hope is in promises, promises i know to be true.
Promises that have been kept and honoured by mankind have been few.
The path is narrow, at times impossible to get through,
So my heart and mind stay focused, holding fast to the truth.
Holding on to promises i know to be true,
Promises from The One, The Merciful, who shows me the route,
The path, the way, to eternal bliss...
But i feel something behind me...
Thats shaytaans kiss.
Distracting my mind, striving to make me miss...
A life of a muhmin... a life far removed from this.
