Scaring Santa

But for the T-word,
it would be downright absurd.
Sparklers in undies
shaking a giant in his booties.

Land of the free, home of the brave.
Rattled by wretched schemes from a cave.
Easier was staring down a Soviet nuke,
Or freeing Europe from the Nazi yoke.

Preemptive strikes, shock and awe,
will keep this conflict forever raw.
