Desert Monument
World’s tallest building,
housing the worlds smallest minds!
A monument to vanity,
for misuse of earth’s bounty.
Designed by the best of the west,
built with sweat of the oppressed.
In a region with a lot of unrest,
it stands out as a sore thumb in distress.
Flowing white robes and stern expressions,
do not mask anything of substance.
Vice masquerades as freedom,
mocking the austere purity of a desert kingdom.
Garish opulence to intimidate the weak.
Someone impudent has to speak.
When recorded abuse is inadequate,
to get the elite on the carpet.
Re-building a civilization is no small chore.
Establish centers of learning, injustice abhor.
Focus on self improvement, rest will follow.
Be not hasty in getting there tomorrow.
